Jaime Soler
Outstanding Editor, Translator and International Visual Artist
Soler Frost is an editor, translator and visual artist. He has exhibited his work in Mexico, the United States, Belgium and Luxembourg. As an editor, translator and designer, he has collaborated in the publication of catalogs and art books with institutions such as the Colegio de San Ildefonso, the Fondo de Cultura Económica, the Fundación Bancomer, the Fundación/Colección Jumex, the National Institute of Anthropology and History, the National Institute of Fine Arts and Literature, the Museo de Arte Carrillo Gil, the Franz Mayer Museum, the MUNAL, the MUAC, Orfeó Català de Mèxic, RM Editores, Siglo XXI Editores, The Barragán Foundation (Switzerland), among others.
As an author, he has written the books Iconografía (Fondo de Cultura Económica, 2012) and, with Ekaterina Álvarez, a, arte, bajo, cabe, con, contra, de, desde... Nociones para escribir un proyecto de arte (Fundación Javier Marín/PUNTAL, 2017). He has also collaborated on the books Obra negra. Tomás Casademunt (Arquine, 2013) and Anish Kapoor. Arqueología: biología (MUAC, 2016). He directed the publishing house Libros del Umbral and is the Publications Coordinator of the Institute of Aesthetic Research of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (IIE-UNAM).
