Paola Scortecci

Head of the Sansepolcro Municipality Library

Paola Scortecci is an Art Historian and Archivist. She works at the Library and Historical Archives of the Municipality of Sansepolcro, where she is responsible for the management, restoration and preservation of archival material and is educational coordinator of the Biblioteca Comunale Dionisio Roberti organizing meetings and thematic visits.

She is member of the Board of Directors of the Istituzione Biblioteca Museo di Sansepolcro which does activities of developing and promoting city cultural events. She has written articles and participated in art historical conferences with themes related to Baroque art of the 17th-18th centuries.

She has collaborated in the creation of videos and museum educational editions and has been involved in the reorganization and inventorying of small archival fonds of the 18th-19th centuries.

She has worked at the Museo Galileo (in the Istituto e Museo di Storia della Scienza) at Florence working in the field of archives, restoration and museum education participating in conferences, congresses and art exhibitions of a mathematical and scientific nature including "Piero della Francesca. La seduzione della prospettiva" (in English "Piero della Francesca. The Seduction of Perspective") and "La mente di Leonardo. Nel laboratorio del genio universale" (in English "The Mind of Leonardo. In the workshop of universal genius").
