Ricardo I. Obert Martínez

General Director of the Festival de las Ideas

"[...] our goal is to bring the world to Sansepolcro and Sansepolcro to bring it to the world."

Obert studied at the Escuela Libre de Derecho, the PanAmerican Institute for High Business Management (IPADE) and at Harvard University.

He has more than thirty years of experience in the real estate and industrial sector. His interest in the dissemination of culture, ideas and the arts have led him to collaborate in multiple foundations and participate as a host on radio and television. He is known for his ability to lead innovative projects in different areas of human endeavor and also for his commitment to the social and educational development of Mexico. Obert speaks and understands Spanish, English, German and French.

He is a member of the National Council of the Mexican Red Cross. He is general director of the Festival de las Ideas and general director of the Sistema Nacional de Coros y Orquestas Esperanza Azteca in Fundación Azteca, both positions at Grupo Salinas.
