Salvatore is graduated in Composition and Orchestral Conducting; he obtained a Master's in Novecento Italiano Musical Cultures and he has specialized at Accademia Musicale Chigiana and the Scuola di Paleografia e Filologia Musicale.
He has represented Italy at various festivals and he has been winner of competitions in Composition and Chamber Music. His musical research essays "Un coro d'angeli nell'Incoronazione della Vergine e santi di Sandro Botticelli" (in English "A Choir of Angels in the Coronation of the Virgin and Saints by Sandro Botticelli") and "'Contentar l'udito': Dalla Divina Proportione alla prassi musicale della corte urbinate in Luca Pacioli Maestro di contabilità-matematicoFilosofo della natura" (in English "'Satisfying the ear': From the Divine Proportion to the Musical Practice of the Urbino Court in Luca Pacioli, Master of Accounting-Mathematician- Philosopher of Nature") are characterized by significant scientific innovations.
He is editor of the book "Qualunque melodia più dolce suona qua giù". La musica in Dante (in English "Any sweeter melody sounds down here." Music in Dante.)
As conductor, he has been invited to the Republic Day, Umbria Green Festival, European Music Festival, TV show "Nessun dorma" of Italian public broadcaster Rai 5, Rai 3, Croatian Radio Hrt and, Orchestra and Choir of the Music School of Henan University. He teaches at the Bologna Conservatory and he was awarded the Classic Music Award in 2019.
