Felice Auteri

Author, Professor and Historian of the Order of Friars Minor Conventual

"Br. Luca Pacioli, according from what can be seen in the official Regesta of the Order of Friars Minor Conventual, was a culturally multifaceted character, complex as a man and a religious man. We can affirm that throughout his life, both as a young man and as a seventy-year-old, his mind was always projected towards the reflection of 'the divine proportions and harmonies.'"

Religious priest of the Order of Friars Minor Conventual. He obtained his doctorate in Church History at the Faculty of Church History of the Pontifical Gregorian University. He also obtained his bachelor’s degree in Civil History at the University of Naples Federico II.

He has been residing in Assisi, at the Sacro Convento, since 8 January 2018. Currently, he is a professor in Naples at the Pontifical Theological Faculty of Southern Italy in the bachelor course in Religious Sciences, where he teaches the subjects of Ancient and Medieval Church History, as well as Modern and Contemporary Church History. He teaches History of Franciscanism II at the Istituto Teologico di Assisi. In addition, he is a professor at the Pontifical Theological Faculty of San Bonaventure in Rome.

He is the author of numerous articles published in Miscellanea Francescana, Rivista di letteratura e storia ecclesiastica, La Società rivista scientifica di dottrina sociale della Chiesa and Studi Francescani, among which stands out the article "Luca Pacioli: l'uomo, l'economista e il matematico" (in English "Luca Pacioli: the Man, the Economist and the Mathematician") published in 2019. He has also published the volumes Franciscanum: Storia e Formazione (in English Franciscanum: History and Formation) and La Provincia francescana conventuale di Napoli, 1815-1866: dalla restaurazione borbonica alla soppressione piemontese (in English The Franciscan Conventual Province of Naples, 1815-1866. From the Bourbon Restoration to the Piedmontese Suppression).
